Bryan Chapman Co-Owner/Business Manager

Bryan Chapman is the Business Manager of Pleasant Psychology, where he oversees all business aspects to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the practice. His commitment to community service is evident in his dual roles of professional and civic engagement. Although he oversees the business side of the practice he also has a full-time job serving as the Executive Director of Clothing INC.

As the Executive Director of Clothing INC, a local nonprofit organization, Bryan leads efforts to provide free clothing to individuals and families in need, demonstrating his passion for supporting and uplifting the community. His leadership and dedication have made a significant impact on many lives, ensuring that basic needs are met with dignity and care.

In addition to his professional and nonprofit work, Bryan serves as a City Commissioner for the City of Mt. Pleasant, an elected position that allows him to influence and contribute to the betterment of the city. Through this role, he works tirelessly to create a thriving, vibrant community where residents can enjoy a high quality of life.

Bryan's passion for improving people's lives is at the heart of everything he does. Whether it's helping individuals secure the clothing they need, enhancing the city he serves, or prioritizing mental health at Pleasant Psychology, Bryan is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Corey Thompson, LMSW, Outpatient Therapist

Corey Thompson is an Outpatient Therapist at Pleasant Psychology. Corey earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University in Social Work and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Social Work focusing on children and families.

As a licensed clinical therapist Corey is committed to helping children and adolescents work through past trauma and learn effective new strategies on how to be successful in their everyday life.  Corey’s expertise is working with children as young as two years old and up to 18. Corey works to introduce new ways and techniques into therapy in hopes that clients can learn from a variety of different approaches. Some of Corey's favorite forms of therapy are play therapy and experiential therapy. Corey’s experience includes working in areas of treatment like abuse and neglect, adoption, reactive attachment, depression, grief and loss, parent/child struggles, impulse control, anxiety and many others.

Corey has more than 15 years of experience working with children and families and would love the opportunity to get to know you and your child.

Madison Chapman, Ph.D., LP, Owner/Psychologist

Dr.  Chapman is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in providing assessment and consultation services for children and teens. She earned her PhD in School Psychology from Michigan State University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. Her training and experience in both school psychology and clinical psychology provides a unique perspective of effective supports for both mental health and educational needs.

By providing comprehensive psychological assessments, she is able to evaluate specific referral concerns and provide an overall assessment of an individual’s functioning. She uses a variety of psychological, neuropsychological, personality, and social-emotional assessments to assess concerns related to posttraumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorders, reactive attachment disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and disruptive, impulse-control and conduct disorders. Her goal when conducting evaluations is to identify strengths that will help the individual succeed, identify barriers that may make treatment challenging, and help identify what the child may be struggling with and why the challenge may exist.

Dr. Chapman is also trained in evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Behavior Therapy. She assists clients and families struggling with a variety of concerns including anxiety and social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depressive disorders, trauma and adjustment disorders, and behavioral disorders. Finally, she is also available to provide consultation services and speak at schools, physician’s offices, and community events.

Bonny Rye, M.A., LLP

Bonny is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who specializes in providing outpatient therapy and assessment services for children, teens, and families.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University.  She is currently completing her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University. 

 Bonny has experience providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and families, including cognitive behavioral therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, and behavioral therapy.  She works to assist children and families strengthen their relationships, improve communication strategies, and practice effective and healthy coping skills.   Bonny’s experience includes working with anxiety disorders, depression, parent and child difficulties, conduct disorders, and attention and executive functioning problems.  She also enjoys completing psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and guardianship and competency to stand trial evaluations. 

Reeve Olivia Harden, M.A., TLLP

Reeve Olivia Harden is a Psychology Practicum Student at Pleasant Psychology and sees clients for both therapy and psychological assessments. Reeve earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey in Psychology and a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University in Clinical Psychology. Reeve is currently enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program at Central Michigan University and is working at Pleasant Psychology as a practicum student.

Reeve has experience working with clients ages 3-18, including children and teens with anxiety disorders, trauma-related concerns, OCD, behavioral difficulties, minority stress, and neurodevelopmental disorders. When working with therapy clients, Reeve believes in using an evidence-based and collaborative approach that directly addresses the unique needs of each client and family she works with. Reeve describes her therapy style as straightforward and understanding, valuing open and honest communication and feedback throughout the therapy process. Her primary treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure-based interventions, psychoeducation, skills-based interventions, and behavioral parent training strategies. 

Reeve has conducted assessments with clients presenting with a variety of concerns related to cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Her goal in these assessments is to provide clarity and effective recommendations through comprehensive evaluation, as well as assist her clients and their families in addressing troubling symptoms, understanding the nature of their concerns, and creating an environment in which they can thrive.
